2016 to date has been challenging for the whole renewables sector, including ourselves. Significant subsidy reductions in both the Biomass Renewable Heat Incentive and the Solar PV Feed-in-Tariff have taken their toll, with a number of our East Midland’s competitors ceasing to trade.
Fortunately, despite cutting or stopping the majority of renewable subsidies over the last 12 months, the government has decided to continue to favour the Heat Pump market with tariffs increasing. There are however, significant changes proposed for the Renewable Heat Incentive for heat pumps scheme in 2017.
In January Trusted Energy Solutions made the strategic decision to exploit our team’s in-depth electrical expertise by launching an electrical contracting department. This department is to focus particularly on commercial, domestic new build, and home automation customers.
Since February we have been investing in Google marketing, particularly for heat pumps and, more recently, electrical services, with very positive results generating more enquiries per month than we have seen in our 5 years of trading. This is now translating into a much healthier installation pipeline.
In the last 2 months we have successfully passed both our renewables MCS and electrical NICEIC audits. Only minor non-conformities on both audits demonstrates that our focus on quality and customer service continues to pay dividends.
Since the start of the year Trusted Energy Solutions has delivered;
- 23 electrical installations
- 8 air source heat pump systems
- 3 ground source heat pump systems
- 1 large biomass system
- 2 Solar PV systems
- 6 underfloor heating systems
- numerous other small ancillary projects.
We believe this demonstrates our wide capability, customer focus and quality ethos.
