The owners of this beautiful 400m² modern home approached us with a keen interest in moving away from an existing oil boiler and replacing it with a cleaner, more efficient heating system.

Following our initial survey it was obvious that an Air Source Heat Pump system would be the best way forward in conjunction with a PV communicator module that would work in synergy with the existing Solar PV array, ensuring that the heat pump was powered by as much free electricity as possible.

The heat pump itself, a NIBE F2040 16kW unit, was sited several meters from the side of the house with pre-insulated underground pipework running from the pump to the house, supplying 100% of the heating and hot water requirements.

The results of our room-by-room heat loss calculations indicated that 3 of the existing radiators required upgrading, which we completed following installation of the heat pump.

As always, the entire system was designed, supplied, installed and commissioned by ourselves with all aspects of the project managed in-house.  Following commission of any heat pump installation we supply all the documents, guidance and support for application of the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme as well as an optional maintenance plan.
